WARRIOR PRIDE! TCUSD Earns a B District Rating – ALL Five Schools Earn a B!
Good afternoon, TCUSD Family!
WOW! I have some GREAT news to share with our Warrior Family!
The Arizona Department of Education's 2025–2026 A–F accountability results are available, and I am excited to share that TUBA CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT HAS EARNED AN OVERALL B RATING! And here's something else worth celebrating...
ALL FIVE OF OUR GRADED SCHOOLS EARNED A B!
Let's give a HUGE WARRIOR SHOUTOUT to:
-
Tuba City Elementary School – B
-
Tsinaabaas Habitiin Elementary School – B
-
Tuba City Junior High School – B
-
Tuba City High School – B
-
Nizhoni Accelerated Academy - B
FIVE SCHOOLS! FIVE B's! ONE WARRIOR FAMILY!
I want to take a moment to recognize our teachers, support staff, administrators, students, and families for the hard work and dedication reflected in these results. These ratings represent the 2025–2026 school year, and I want to recognize the educators and leaders whose efforts helped make these results possible. As I have shared since arriving at TCUSD, we have incredible people doing incredible things for kids, and this is another opportunity to celebrate the positive things happening throughout our district!
But here's what I want us to remember: A letter grade is not our finish line!
Our goal is not simply to earn a B or even an A. Our goal is to ensure EVERY student is learning, growing, and receiving the very best educational opportunities we can provide. That is why we will continue focusing on strong Tier 1 instruction, meaningful professional development, effective PLCs, student engagement, and using actual evidence of student learning to guide our decisions. We have a strong foundation to build upon, and I truly believe our BEST days are still ahead of us!
To our entire Warrior Family, THANK YOU! Thank you for showing up for our kids, believing in our students, and continuing to make a difference every single day. Let's celebrate this accomplishment, take pride in our schools, and keep pushing ourselves to be even better! We are not finished. We are just getting started! One District. One Team. One Purpose.
Stronger Together,
Scott Nedrow
