SUP With The Supt Week 7 With TCUSD Security Department Discussing Safe & Supportive Schools
Good morning, TCUSD Family,
Next week we are heading into Week 7 of SUP with the Supt., and our focus will be Safe & Supportive Schools. Next week, I’ll be sitting down with members of our Security Department, and I’m really looking forward to the conversation. Our security team is on the front lines every day helping keep our students, staff, campuses, and events safe, and I want to hear directly from them about what they are seeing and how we can continue to improve. But as always, SUP with the Supt. is for all of you. Even if you aren’t sitting at the table with us next week, I want to hear your voice.
Some of the questions we’ll be discussing include:

What are we doing well when it comes to safety?

What safety or student behavior concerns are you seeing?

How can we make our schools both safe and welcoming?

Are there procedures, training, resources, or communication we could improve?

How can we strengthen emergency preparedness across the district?

What is one thing we could do differently that would make a meaningful difference?
If you have an idea, concern, suggestion, or something you believe we are doing really well, please email me directly. You never have to wait for your school or department week to participate. I read your responses, and what you share helps shape these conversations and our work moving forward. The goal of SUP with the Supt. continues to be simple: listen, learn, and then do something with what we hear.
